Friends of Spiced,
These are unprecedented and uncertain times, and our individual and collective efforts matter a great deal. At the moment, the best advice for all of us is to stay at home and reduce the risk of being infected or infecting others.
Last week, we closed the Spiced campuses in Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne to protect students and staff alike. Our team has worked hard to move all our cohorts online and we are proud to say that Spiced is up and running. Our current cohorts are all successfully continuing their studies, and the responses from students so far have been overwhelmingly positive. We have converted to teaching in virtual classrooms with students participating remotely. We are also proud to inform you that our remote teaching has already been certified and is therefore available for students using a Bildungsgutschein from the Agentur für Arbeit.
Our primary goal at Spiced is to provide an exceptional educational experience. We hold great faith in the ability of our teachers, staff and ecosystem to provide this for all Spiced students. Under the given circumstances, we are fully convinced that enabling remote participation is the best alternative to equip students with a new skillset.
We are, however, sympathetic to the disruptions caused. We will therefore offer a 20% pro-rata rebate on the course tuition for current and future students who are self-financing their education with Spiced. The rebate applies to every week that Spiced courses take place online. We will resume campus classes as soon as it is made possible.
For future and current students attending our courses using a Bildungsgutschein: you can still go ahead! The Agentur für Arbeit have approved our application to move all classes online, for the duration of the distancing measures.
Additionally, we will be postponing our cohorts which were due to start on March 30th until April 20th. We hope that this delay will mean that affected students will be able to study at least partially on-campus, and experience the full benefit of choosing to join the Spiced learning community.
Rest assured that myself, our background staff and all our teachers remain more determined than ever to ensure that every student who takes one of our courses will get the best possible training during their time with us. Students will learn the most relevant technologies in the job market, and you continue to enjoy full career support along the way.

Summary of Information for Students and Candidates
Current students on campus:
We are offering:

Students for March 30th, Data Science and Web Development:
The starting date for your cohort is now April 20th, 2020.
On top of that, we are offering:
A complete rebate of 20%
AND the option to transfer to a later cohort (only up until the 2nd week of the course)

Students starting or applying for dates in May or later:
Please monitor starting dates. We plan to keep dates as they are but as the situation progresses there may be changes to cohort dates. We will inform you about such changes on our website (or if you have already signed a contract in writing) should such changes be implemented. We look forward to resuming campus teaching as soon as possible!
